Who?            

Outdoor Adventure Club is open to all 5th-8th grade students (boys and girls).  It is run by Jenn & Josh Trowsdale.  Jenn is a certified science teacher and the head of children’s programs at Harvest Baptist Church (HBC).  Josh is a former summer camp director with over two decades of experience leading wilderness activities for children and youth.  Josh currently serves as the Lead Pastor at HBC.  Both have been background checked to work with children.

 

What?           

We believe kids need to spend more time outdoors, enjoying God’s amazing creation.  We’ll be combining fun outdoor activities, crazy science experiments, and short Bible lessons into super fun afternoons.  We’re currently working on a new community playground with “American Ninja Warrior” style obstacles and rock climbing walls that the kids will get to enjoy each week.

When?          

Club runs on every other Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. with the first half hour being primarily free play on the playground (recognizing that not everyone can get here by 3:30 after school).  We’ll also have family field trips about once a quarter where mom and dad can join in as we explore nature together.  Upcoming dates: 10/28, 11/18, 12/9.

Where?        

Harvest Baptist Church at 361 Hackett Hill Rd. in Hooksett.  We’ll mostly be outside but, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move inside to our children’s classroom.

How to Sign Up:     

Email us at harvestbc@comcast.net with the child’s name and age.  On the first day of club, parents will need to fill out a permission slip with emergency contact info, allergies, etc.  The club is free but space is limited, so sign up as soon as possible.
